The Hawks played the Houston Rockets in Dwight Howard's return to Houston. The Hawks were without Thabo Sefolosha again as he is day-to-day. The Hawks started off terrible. They turned the ball over and couldn't defend James Harden in the 3rd quarter. It looked like the Hawks were going to lose as they were down by as much as 20. The Hawks would climb back into it after a couple of Deandre Bembry lay-ups. Then Tim Hardawy Jr. took over. He started hitting three's and he put in a poster that propelled the Hawks up three points. The Hawks held on for the win and the final score was 113-108. Tim Hardaway Jr. finished with a career-high 33 points that included 23 in the 4th quarter. Dwight Howard finished with 24 points and 23 rebounds. Deandre Bembry's game went very underrated. He didn't do too much on offense but he had the task of guarding James Harden in the final stretch of the game. He actually did fantastic on him in the Tim Hardaway takeover. James Harden was hot the rest of the game though as he scored 41 points. The Hawks come back to Atlanta as they play the Orlando Magic on Saturday.
