It was fun, Hawks

There was a time where the Hawks looked like they were going to be a fun team with great ball movement and had exciting players like Kyle Korver, Jeff Teague, and Al Horford. Then they made that reality with the best season in franchise history. They won 60 games, were the 1st seed, had 4 all-stars, and they made their first ECF appearance in franchise history. They made Phillips Arena electric with their ball movement and shooting and they had a fantastic run of 19-0 in January and they were the first team in NBA History to have a starting 5 named the Player(s) of the Month.

I will never forget the buzz in the arena when the Warriors came to town. People were excited as it was the two best teams in the league. I won't forget when Dennis Schroder scored a layup and then he stole the inbound pass and gave a beautiful pass to Kyle Korver. Then there was that time when they played the Wizards in the Eastern Conference Semifinals and it was game five and Paul Pierce jsut hit a three-pointer and I thought he was going to have another arrogant "I called game," speech but instead Atlanta had the ball and Al Horford got the rebound, after a Schroder layup, and put it back in for the win. This setup a game six, which the Hawks won.

The Hawks would never be the same as Demarre Carroll left that offseason. The next offseason Jeff Teague was trade and Al Horford left to the Celtics. During last season, Kyle Korver was traded and Paul Millsap left the team this current offseason. The Hawks are only left with Dennis Schroder, Mike Muscala, and Kent Bazemore. The Hawks are going to be bad and they will not be good for quite awhile but we can still look back at this season as it was the best one the Hawks have ever had. The Hawks team was fun as they made me truly fall in love with the game of basketball and how it should be played. Thank you Hawks for being the best team I have ever witnessed live. It was a pleasure Hawks
