The Hawks were able to snap their 7-game losing streak with a win against the short-handed Miami Heat 103-95. The Hawks started off the game well and Dwight Howard had a quick 8 points. The Hawks were able to end the 1st quarter winning 29-25. In the second quarter the Hawks were able to extend their lead to 15 after a Dwight Howard dunk. Tyler Johnson and the Heat were able to cut that lead to 7 at Halftime. The Hawks were looking good. They had the offesne flowing as they had 53 at halftime. The defense was fairly solid and at halftime the Hawks were winning 53-46.

The Hawks were able to keep their lead in the second half despite having Tyler Johnson and Goran Dragic fight back. The Hawks lead was cut to 3-points in the 4th quarter and it looked like the Hawks were going to blow the lead but the Hawks were able to stop that run and keep their lead. The Hawks biggest lead towards the end was 11-points. The Hawks leading scorer was Dwight Howard with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Paul Millsap also had 21 points and 9 rebounds. The Heat's leading scorer was Tyler Johnson with 27 points. The Hawks had a very solid game against a weak opponent. Hopefully this is a good momentum builder and they can start winning again.
