I have neglected this section of the website mostly because I have been one of the fans that has had to take a break from sports due to the Falcons crushing lost. With that being said I expect the basketball articles section to be full since the football season is over. The Hawks did play on the Saturday before the Falcons and they played the Magic and they won in one of their most complete games. The Hawks destroyed the Magic 113-86 and they played good for the whole 48 minutes. The Hawks had both Tim Hardaway Jr. and Paul Millsap score 21 points. The Hawks played the Jazz on Monday and that was embarrassing.

The Hawks got crushed in a blow out 120-95. The Hawks stayed in the game and then Gordon Hayward happened. Gordon Hayward went off and since Thabo Sefolosha has been hurt he scored a total of 31 points. The Hawks decided to take the night off and they just couldn't do anything offensively. The next game was Wednesday night against the Nuggets and the Hawks won 117-106. The Hawks played good for most of this game and they were actually winning by 20 but the Nuggets did cut it down to 4. The Hawks played well and they had one of their best games from Deandre Bembry, who finished with a career-high 10 points and he showed his athleticism. Dennis Schroder did have the best scoring night with 24 points. The Hawks do play the Kings Friday while they are on a 3-game west road trip that leads into the All-Star break. Hopefully the Hawks can finish this trip with a plus .500 record and have some momentum going into the break.
