The Hawks played a very complete game on Tuesday night as they won the contest 117-97. This was the one of the most complete Hawks games they have played. They statred the game off ok but Brooklyn syill hung around to make it somewhat competitive. When the bench came in that when the game got more away from the Nets. Malcom Delaney, Tim Hardaway Jr, and Kris Humphries all made their impacts in the end of the first quarter as they went on more of a run. The Hawks would continue dominance throughout the first half as they would be winning 61-43. In the second half the Hawks had a period in the third quarter where their offense went ice cold, luckily the Nets are the worst team in the league and this wasn't a problem. The lowest amount the Nets cut it to was 11 points. The Hawks would finish off the Nets after Dennis Schroder and Paul Millsap connected on small pick-and-rolls. The Hawks would then put in their reserves for the final 3 minutes. Dennis Schroder had another solid game with 19 points and 10 assists. Dwight Howard had 14 points and 16 rebounds. The Hawks biggest problem was their freethrow shooting as they shot 22-38. This would have made the difference if the Hawks played an actually good opponent. The Hawks hope to jump into the 3rd seed if they can beat the Celtics in Al Horford's return to Atlanta.

Great analysis of this game. Especially about the free throws percentage. You have it spot on ... if they played a team that was not any good like Brooklyn ....they could get away with shooting lousy. But those great shooting teams i.e. Golden State, Cleveland, or OK City...the Coach better plan some needed O/T in the Gym!!!!
