This is a power ranking series similar to my football one, except that is a countdown as there are 30 days until the NBA starts. I take a more in depth look at each team and breakdown how the year will be for each team.

The Orlando Magic have been a train wreck ever since Dwight Howard left. They have posted multiple losing records and they have not been able to get back to the postseason. They have had high draft picks but they just are not panning out. They have a similar roster except a couple of role players. The team does not impress me on paper or anywhere else for that matter. The probable lineup is below

PG: Elfrid Payton
SG: Evan Fournier
SF: Terrence Ross
PF: Aaron Gordon
C: Nikola Vucevic

6th Man: Bismack Biyombo

This lineup is not the worst. They actually have a nice piece in Nikola Vucevic. The rest of the lineup is meh or on the verge of being a bust. Aaron Gordon, for example, was drafted 4th overall and last year he only averaged 12 points per game and 6 rebounds per game. Those numbers are okay for an average player but he had high expectations with the 4th pick. Elfrid Payton had some nice games last year but his shot is god awful. He has only shot 29 % from three over the course of his career. The biggest bust on the team is Mario Hezonja. They picled him up with the 5th overall pick a couple of years ago and he has not panned out. He has a career average of about 5 points per game. Bismack Biyombo is overpaid for his play and no one else of the bench is that good. The Magic are in a predicament as the team is stuck in, what feels like a eternity of mediocrity.
