The Kings are insanely young but they have old players too. The Kings are confusing and people do not know whether or not they will be good. I will take the bet that they will not be good. This is mostly due to the fact of how old they are and the lack of depth at the wing position. The Kings were a major seller at the trade deadline as they traded away star center Demarcus Cousins to the Pelicans. They did get compensated fairly well as they received a good young SG in Buddy Hield and a first round pick that lead to some more good young players. Below is the projected starting lineup from me

PG: George Hill
SG: Buddy Hield
SF: Justin Jackson
PF: Skal Labissiere
C: Willie Cauley-Stein

6th Man: Vince Carter

This lineup is not awful but it is very inexperienced with PG George Hill as the lone veteran. The team might not be as bad as I have them ranked. The problem I see is that they have older players for no reason when they could just play all young guys and have them learn. For example, they have George Hill, who might be a good mentor for De'Aaron Fox, but he is just taking minutes and development time away from him. Fox has star potential but instead he is stuck behind an older PG. The SG position will be locked down by Buddy Hield as he is growing. The biggest question and need is at SF. Right now I have rookie Justin Jackson in there, but the truth is that I have no clue who will be the true starter. The big men are secure with two solid centers. Skal and Cauley-Stein both had great games after Cousins left and they should be better than they were last season with another year under each of their belts. Another large question is the bench. They have older veterans there but they will not be near as good as anyone else's bench.

The Kings have not been good for quite awhile now and they are still pretty bad. They do have a bright future, however, with many good young pieces that should contribute.
