Oh how the mighty have fallen...It hurts me that my first article for this website has to be about the team I love - and their ultimate downfall - may come to be this season. The Chi-Town Bulls took one of the worst blows this off-season after falling to the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. To make matters worse, much much worse, they traded away Jimmy Butler, one of the few young talents on the team that had rising talent. Though Zach Lavine may serve as a great new addition, nothing can fill the void of losing a top 3 SG to the Timberwolves. Though broken, the Chicago Bulls could pull a 40 win season out of thin air though very unlikely. This is the lineup that I believe could give them any chance of staying in playoff contention this year.

PG: Kris Dunn
SG: Dwayne Wade/Zach Lavine  (If Wade were to get bought out)
SF: Zach Lavine/Quincy Pondexter  (If Wade were to get bought out)
PF: Lauri Markkanen
C: Robin Lopez

6th Man: Paul Zipser

If the Dwayne Wade buyout were to happen, which it probably will, then this could be the new rebuild of the Bulls. Clean cut, Markkanen needs to play lights our for the bulls to stand any chance of surviving the "highly competitive" Eastern Conference. If the Bulls want can overcome the odds stacked against them, they need to become a better shooting team. A 3-Point presence needs to be an option for them this year to keep the team from being useless. Lavine and Markkanen show some promise in this area, but players like Paul Zipser and Denzel Valentine need to step up their game. Finally, Fred Hoiberg needs to take a giant leap in his coaching this year. If the Bulls can find a way to play as a cohesive unit this season, there may be a chance of slipping in at the 8th seed to get some playoff time. All in all, this stone giant could be in the process of rebuilding the pieces needed to become a competitive team again.
