Taylor Gabriel and the Falcons bounce back against the Cardinals and win convincingly 38-1911/29/2016 By: Lucas Kochevar The Falcons came back from the Bye Week to play the Cardinals. This was a very big game for both the Cardinals and Falcons. The Falcons were trying not to have an epic collapse like last year. This was a big game for the Cardinals because they were fighting for their playoff lives. It was Arizona who started the game with a great drive and scored. The Falcons came back with a touchdown drive of their own to answer. In the second quarter the Falcons scored from a screen pass to Taylor Gabriel that went 35 yards to score. The Falcons went into halftime as the Cardinals kicked a field goal. The game was 13-17.
In the second half the Falcons offense exploded. They scored three touchdowns in the second half. Taylor Gabriel scored once again on a pass that seemed like the same screen pass from earlier. Both Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman scored in the second half as well. The Falcons sealed the game for good on an interception by De'Vondre Campbell. This game was a very solid, well-played team win. The offense looked very solid and clicked most of the afternoon. A concerning part on the offense is Julio not catching the easy ones. He had another dropped pass that lead to an interception. The defense was fairly solid. They did a good job of containing David Johnson to only 58 yards on 13 carries. Jalen Collins showed out with another very solid performance. The way he is playing is very good sign because of Trufant's latest injury. Desmond Trufant's injury is a huge blow to the Falcons' defense and hopefully they can survive without their best defensive player. One last thought is a huge 'THANK YOU' to the Cleveland Browns for giving us Taylor Gabriel.
