![]() By: Lucas Kochevar The fight is finally on and is set to go down August 26th in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena. Floyd Mayweather will come out of retirement as he tries to go 50-0 in boxing as he fights Connor McGregor. Conor McGregor is making the transition to boxing as he has fought in the UFC and he has a record of 21-3. This fight has been talked about for quite some time now and people were able to make the deal happen and it is going to be a hefty paycheck for both fighters. The last fight for McGregor was against Eddie Alvarez and he was able to knock him out. Floyd Mayweather's last fight was against Andre Berto and he won that. This fight will most likely go 10 or 12 rounds as Floyd has the advantage as it is boxing rules, not MMA. Floyd should be able to use his quickness and longevity to last in the ring. McGregor is used to knocking out people and he actually has not gone that far into fights. Mayweather, on the other hand is known for lasting awhile in fights, similar to how he did against Manny Pacquiao. I like Floyd Mayweather to win this fight as Floyd is one of the greatest boxers and Conor McGregor is just now starting to adjust to boxing. I believe the gap is too far and Conor will not be able to last as long as Floyd. Good luck to both fighters as this should be a good fight.
