By: Lucas Kochevar ![]() The Hawks have struggled in the last 10 games. The Hawks have lost 5 straight and they are only 2-8 in the last 10 games. It has been ugly and they have lost by blowouts and they have lost in close games. On their 6-game road trip they only won 1 game on their 5-game road trip. Ever since Dwight Howard was ejected in Charlotte, which they lost 100-96, they have been awful. The offense has dropped to 25th in the league when it comes to offensive effiency but their defense still ranks very high in the NBA. Their offense has looked very stagnent and they have stopped the movement. The ball hasn't moved very well during their losing streak. It has gotten very rough as it feels like everyone is trying to play hero-ball. This team is in a time of trying to find their identity. They need to figure out who they are. The starting five has failed to put it all together for a game. Dennis Schroder has played well the last two games scoring 28 and 31, but early on he stuggled in the road trip. He needs to find his consistency at the Point Guard position. Kyle Korver has been struggling to find his shooting stroke so he can't get in a rhythm. Kent Bazemore has also been very inconsistent along with Schroder. He is the heart and soul of the team with his passion. When he starts struggling he can tend to get out of control and then his energy goes down along with the rest of the team. Paul Millsap hasn't been that good either. He has put up solid numbers but its still not up to his standards. Dwight Howard has struggled scoring the ball and he has been ok but not great. The bench has taken a step back also. Tim Hardaway Jr. had one 20-point performance on this road trip which was the best effort from the bench. Thabo and THJ have done a solid job trying to make-up the fall off of the production from both Kyle and Bazemore. I hope this team can bounceback from their struggles. They need to win to stop themselves from free falling in the standings. Lets hope they can turn around their problems.
