The Falcons had another lead in a game that they should have won, but once again, they lost it and had terrible mistakes. The Falcons were up 10-0 in the first quarter and it should have been 17-0, but Matt Ryan overthrew Julio Jones, who would have scored easily. The Panthers stormed back in the second quarter and scored twice and led Atlanta at halftime, 14-10. The third quarter was dull for both teams, except two Carolina field goals that pushed their lead to 20-10. Atlanta had another opportunity to score on a bomb from Matt Ryan to Julio Jones, but Julio Jones saw the ball fall right threw his hands. The Falcons scored a touchdown too late in the fourth quarter and the final score ended up to be 20-17. Atlanta welcomes the Dallas Cowboys to Mercedes-Benz Stadium as they hope to pickup a much needed victory.
