Atlanta took care of business on Sunday with a win against the 49ers 41-13. The Falcons proved once again that they can win without their star WR Julio Jones. The Falcons were able to stop the Niners on their first drive as they forced a three-and-out. The Falcons got it back and scored just under 3 minutes. The score was quickly 7-0 in favor of the Falcons. The Falcons continued the trend of defensive stops and touchdown drives. They quickly went to a 21-0 lead over the 49ers. Sadly, the 49ers would put together a touchdown drive after a 45-yard pass play from Kaepernick to Tight End Blake Bell. The Falcons would get to the goal line on their next poesession but Devonta Freeman had the Falcons' first fumble of the season. Luckily, the Atlanta defense got another stop and they would score on the next drive after a strong run by Devonta Freeman. The Niners would get one more score before halftime. The Falcons would be winning 28-13.
The Falcons and 49ers would exchange punts until Matt Bryant would knock down a field goal and extend their lead to 31-13. On the the Falcons next poesession Devonta Freeman broke of a 34-yard touchdown as he was untouched. The Falcons would pull their regular startes as they went up 38-13. The Falcons would kick one more field goal to make the score 41-13. Some notable stats from the game include Matt Ryan who went for 286 yards and 2 TDs. Devonta Freeman rushed for 139 yards and 3 TDs. Aldrick Robinson had 4 receptions with a career-high 111 yards and Taylor Gabriel and Austin Hooper each had a TD. Vic Beasley had a sack and since Von Miller didn't have a sack that makes Vic Beasley the solo sack leader in the NFL. He is a couple of sacks away from the Falcons' sack record. This is a solid win against a struggling 49ers team. The Falcons moved to third place in the NFC with the Lions loss against the Giants. The Falcons have two divisional games left that are key games with Tampa Bay on their heels.
