![]() By: Lucas Kochevar The Falcons have made some questionable moves during free agency like signing back Matt Schaub to a deal before re-signing Patrick DiMarco and all the Devonta Freeman trade talk hasn't helped either. There is no way the Falcons are trading Devonta by the way. The Falcons did make a move that will certainly help themselves. The Falcons were able to pickup big DT Dontari Poe. He had a down year last year but that doesn't mean he won't become a beast in the middle of the Falcons D. The 346 pound DT will certainly strengthen the middle and provide some much needed run defense. He signed a 1-year $8 million deal and this could benefit both the Falcons and Poe. It is a similar prove-your-worth-a-deal that Alshon Jeffery signed this year with the Eagles. Dontari Poe has a total of 155 tackles and 13.0 sacks in 5 seasons on the Kansas City Chiefs.

What do you think of the Brad Underwood move to the U of I? Sounds good for Illinois since they have not had anyone with half a brain to run that that program in years.

I think it's a dirtbag move by Underwood as a person to just leave Oklahoma State after one year and promising success. Illinois must have offered a lot more money because that program is in shambles. I don't see why Underwood would make this move but I like it for Illinois. I do feel bad for OSU now that they have no head coach after making the tournament this year.

Underwood now has to get into the inner city and learn to play their style of recruitment. Some of these coaches need to be greased before they allow their best kids to be interviewed. There is a fantastic amount of talent out there but he will need a staff that knows how to get it out. Not a U of I fan, but this school needs someone better than the garbage they been fed these last few years. Leave a Reply. |
